Port Douglas Yacht Club is open seven days a week. From 4pm Monday to Friday and from noon on weekends.
Join the locals for a true taste of Port – great waterfront dining at Spinnakers Restaurant, the best cold beer and a unique ambiance all in the company of the people that make Port Douglas what it always has been and is still to this day, a tropical port on a magical stretch of coastline.
The Yacht Club is situated on Dickson Inlet and is accessible via Wharf Street which is just a ten minute walk from The Mango Tree.
Each Wednesday the local skippers invite you to a free sunset sail and there are also frequent sailing events held throughout the year. The club is home to the world famous Clipper Cup and Port Douglas Race Week held over five days each May.
During this annual regatta competitors from all along the tropical north coast from Townsville to Cooktown contest in several divisions for the prestigious Clipper Cup.
This renowned trophy has a colourful history dating back to the 1970’s and today sits proudly on display at Port Douglas Yacht Club.
The “Yachtie” as the locals call it, is also very popular for weddings and parties and is available for hire for small private functions.
