How to get to Port Douglas and At The Mango Tree Holiday Apartments

Port Douglas is easily accessible from within Australia and from all over the world.

How to get to Port Douglas is easy once you arrive at the tropical city of Cairns in Far North Queensland. Once you arrive in Cairns the Captain Cook Highway is your final destination to get you to Port Douglas.

Cairns International Airport is a one hour scenic drive along the spectacular Captain Cook Highway. The road out of the airport takes you to an intersection on the Captain Cook Highway. Just turn right and follow the signs for Mossman along the dual stretch of highway. You will pass Cairns Northern Beaches before this iconic stretch of coastal highway begins to wind its way further north hugging the steep cliffs and meandering along this most beautiful coastline.

You’ll pass mile after mile of pristine tropical beaches until the land levels once again as you enter the cane field country of the tropical far north.

Passing through Craiglie turn right into Port Douglas Road and take the next left turn after the fire and ambulance stations (about 2km along) and then turn immediately right parallel to Port Douglas Road. Your accommodation at The Mango Tree is then on the left about 500m along.
